Sammy Shelor
As of late, Sammy has been producing and getting more involved in engineering.  He even did the final mixing on Taking the Crooked Road Home.   Sammy has influenced many young musicians to take up the banjo and can occasionally be seen at festivals showing a lick to youngster.  Sammy’s talents are not limited to the banjo; he’s an amazing “tele” electric guitar player. Playing with Sammy will make you play to a much higher level.  Sammy is a very humble individual and is always proud to share his knowledge of the banjo with others.  Sammy, his wife, Sue, and stepson, Hunter, also own and operate Mountain Meadows Farmers Market located at the intersection of Rt. 58 and The Blueridge Parkway.  In 2006, they had a very successful corn maize that was a replica of the Crooked Road logo.  Stop in and say hello.  You just might hear a little pickin… Back to page 1 >>>
